Go'in back to Cali...

So we should have blogged a long time ago! Let's just say we have had a million excuses but rather than to bore you we will just say that the adventures of our life are all caught on camera, and we have finally decided to conform to modern technology and BLOG. Plus, we have met and made so many friends across this big bad world and this will make it so much easier to keep track of us!

We left TEXAS in late May - we never thought we would leave San Antonio - we loved it! The big skies, the allergies that we did not know we had and the HUGE parking spaces for all those BIG trucks (the ones on steroids-TEXAS edition). It’s hard to believe that just 3 years ago Keele was making fun of BIG polished belt buckles and swearing that she would never be caught dead in Texas. Wow – how quickly time passes.

And now here we are in San Jose, California…We are sure that many of you that know us are wondering when we will move again and if you ask us – we will say – NEVER!

So the short of it is that Keele got this amazing job offer from eBay and we ran with it...all the way to San Jose. We rented out our home in TX and bailed. It was not exactly that easy…in fact when the Scanlon's (our dearest friends in San Antonio) left us at the airport Keele cried, no - actually sobbed and then had that awful knot in her throat all the way to California. It was by far one of our hardest good-byes.

Although it was an easy decision as far as location, the decision was incredibly difficult and we really wondered if we had lost our minds. Once we landed we realized that were in fact completely sane and this is the place for us.

We have been blessed to see and live in some amazing places and we have lived out quite the adventure since we were married 8 years ago. Somehow we have found our way home (especially for Jon as he is from the Bay Area) and Keele has never really cared as long as it was California and somewhere near the ocean. The one thing that can’t be beat is the weather – it is paradise here.

A lot of amazing doors have already opened for us since we have moved here and it has only been 3 months. Keele has landed her "dream job" if there is one – where else can you play video games on your breaks? Jon ended up contracting with his Architecture firm (BeatyPalmer Architects) and is their first CYBER employee! He works from home in track pants, flip flops and T's...what more could you ask for? Needless to say he is also getting some great bonding in with Caesar and Palladio. Look out – Caesar Milan!

We got really lucky and landed a SWEET place in South San Jose - near Los Gatos and are in a 1940's bungalow-esque (teeny) house. The good news is that there is a big back yard for Caesar and deep windowsills for Palladio. We provide good neighborhood watch action with our brood. We are 20 minutes from the beach (Santa Cruz) and 30 minutes from the city (San Francisco). Just PERFECT for us and our ADHD behaviors.

So for us, this is a kind of "Welcome Home"...

Take care--I'll be checking in.

Hola! Thanks for putting Slide on your site...I didn't even know about it, but now it's on mine. What a cool way to put a bunch o'pix where people can see them.

Come to Idaho and visit...it's very potato-ey up here!

Keele, You guys look great. I love this whole blog thing. Who knows if we will ever see each other again now that we are on opposite coasts. Thanks for sharing. If you are ever out this way, come and see us. We'd love it.
